ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Ken Finley has been with V&A for twenty years and is responsible for assisting employers in enrolling in the most cost effective program. Ken provides risk management strategies to help minimize the impact of workers’ compensation claims.  Ken forecasts premium impacts for employers in areas of initial onset of a claim, permanent partial awards and lump sum settlements.   In addition, Ken provides unemployment tax analysis for V&A clients.  Ken is a member of the BWC stakeholder panel and has a long history of working with employers to lower their workers’ compensation costs.

Carl Habekost represents employers in all aspects of safety law, workers’ compensation law, and employment law.  Carl is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist and his in-depth training equips him to assist employers with safety issues that arise in connection with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), violations of specific safety requirements (VSSR) and intentional torts. In addition, Carl has earned an advanced, executive-level safety certification as a Certified Occupational Safety Manager which enables him to develop skills to build and manage effective safety programs to reduce injuries and control costs.
